JTVSKY specializes in vintage and secondhand garments and accessories. Each item offered is carefully sourced, documented, and listed with detailed descriptions and photographs. Due to the unique and pre-owned nature of these goods, all sales are final. This policy is consistent with standards across the vintage and secondhand retail industry.

Why All Sales Are Final

One-of-a-Kind Inventory

Unlike new retail, there aren’t duplicates in different sizes or styles. If someone returns a piece, it can’t just go “back into stock” for the next customer. This makes managing returns impractical.

Condition Documentation

Vintage and secondhand items naturally come with quirks: slight fading, small marks, stretched tags, etc. Buyers expect this. Because of that, sellers protect themselves with final sale policies. Returns would lead to endless disputes over what counts as “wear” versus “damage.”

Industry Standard Practice

Almost all vintage and resale businesses (from independent sellers to big players like The RealReal, Depop shops, or Grailed sellers) operate on “all sales final.” It’s become a norm so customers know what to expect.

Small Business Protection

I'm not operating at mass retail scale, so I can’t absorb the cost of taking risks with my merchandise. For example, someone could wear a bikini or earrings once and then try to send them back. Once an item leaves my hands, I can’t be sure it’ll come back in the same state (stretching, tarnish, deodorant stains, etc.).

Buyer Responsibility

Before completing a purchase, buyers are responsible for:

• Reviewing item descriptions and measurements
  
• Examining all listing photos
  
• Requesting additional information if needed

Exceptions

While purchases are final sale, if an item was significantly misrepresented or arrives in a condition not disclosed in the listing, please contact shop@jtvsky.com within 48 hours of delivery. I will review such cases in good faith and handle resolutions at my discretion.
